Sage Green is a lovely colour on the Countryman. It has a muted, almost grey appearance in certain light, with a subtle green tone that gives it considerably more character than the usual black, white or grey examples. Combined with the black roof and mirror caps, it gives this JCW a smart, purposeful look without being too loud. It is a particularly good-looking specification, with the 19-inch John Cooper Works Circuit Spoke alloy wheels completing the exterior nicely.

Inside, the Carbon Black Dinamica and leather upholstery gives the cabin a sporting feel, with the bucket-style front seats adding to the sense that this is no ordinary Countryman. This example came to us in part exchange, and it is simply too good to send straight back into the trade. The service history includes a MINI main dealer visit in October 2022 for an oil service and pollen filter, followed by a major service including spark plugs in November 2024. We have now carried out an oil service and inspection at Priddy's, replacing the pollen and air filters, fitting new wiper blades and renewing the brake fluid. The car has had four owners from new.

The annual road tax is just £200, which is another welcome benefit for a car with this level of performance and equipment.

Under the bonnet is a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 306 hp, paired with an automatic transmission and MINI's ALL4 four-wheel-drive system. The performance is genuinely impressive, with rapid acceleration and the traction to make the most of it. Yet it remains practical enough for everyday life, with a useful cabin, flexible space and a raised driving position.
