Priddy’s Motor Company are delighted to present this Jaguar F-Type 400 Sport Convertible, showing 47,044 miles and finished in Ultimate Black.

The 400 Sport is the version of the F-Type we particularly like. It sits in a sweet spot within the range, offering a meaningful step up from the V6 S without the additional weight and thirst of the V8. This is also one of the earlier cars, from before the later changes that brought particulate filters and a more subdued exhaust note. For anyone who appreciates the character of the original supercharged V6 F-Type, that makes this a particularly appealing configuration.

The 400 Sport has its own identity, too. The yellow 400 Sport details stand out against the Ultimate Black paintwork, while the matte-finish exterior details give it a purposeful look without making it overly showy. It has just the right balance of sporting presence and elegance, and the convertible body makes the most of everything that makes the F-Type such an occasion to drive.

This example has had just two owners from new, with the most recent having owned it since 2021. It also benefits from a Jaguar main dealer service history throughout its life, with maintenance carried out consistently by Jaguar, including rear differential servicing and transfer case servicing at the appropriate points in its recorded history. We have now carried out an oil service at Priddy’s, replacing the pollen and air filters and fitting new wiper blades.

The interior is finished with the same attention to detail as the exterior. Yellow stitching and embroidered 400 Sport details provide a distinctive contrast, while the leather-wrapped dashboard, door cards and A-pillars give the cabin a more special feel. The seats are fully adjustable with memory, and the specification includes heated and cooled front seats, a heated steering wheel, cruise control, a reversing camera, power-folding mirrors and a Meridian sound system.

It is also reassuring to see Pirelli P Zero tyres fitted all round, each showing approximately 7mm of tread. All four have been replaced within the last couple of years, and their condition is consistent with a car that appears to have been treated sympathetically.

What we like most about the F-Type 400 Sport is how versatile it feels. It can be driven smoothly and comfortably when you want a relaxed open-top drive, but there is a much more exciting side to it when the road opens up. The steering, chassis and exhaust character all contribute to a car that feels engaging without needing to be driven hard every time you get behind the wheel.

Under the bonnet is Jaguar’s supercharged 3.0-litre V6, producing 400 hp and paired with an automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. It delivers strong, immediate performance, with the added reassurance of four-wheel-drive traction when conditions are less than ideal. Compared with the larger V8, it offers a more balanced package, retaining the performance and sound that make the F-Type special without quite the same compromises.

With its two-owner history, Jaguar main dealer servicing, distinctive 400 Sport styling and the appeal of the earlier V6 exhaust character, this is an F-Type that gets the important details right. It is a beautifully judged combination of performance, comfort and open-top enjoyment.
