Priddy’s Motor Company are delighted to present this BMW M4 Competition, showing 42,061 miles and finished in Black Sapphire Metallic with black Extended Merino leather.

Some M4s look the part, but it is how this particular car drives that really stood out to us. It feels exceptionally tight, with none of the unwanted knocks and clunks we can encounter on these cars. There is a real sense of solidity to it, and that is exactly what we look for in an M4. It feels like a proper driver's car, rather than simply one that has the right badge and performance figures.

The 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged straight-six produces 450 hp, delivered through BMW's seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission. In Competition specification, it is a seriously capable performance car, but the appeal here goes beyond outright speed. The way this example feels from behind the wheel is what makes it stand out.

It also sits beautifully. Black Sapphire Metallic suits the F82 M4's shape particularly well, highlighting the muscular proportions without needing a brighter colour to draw attention to it. The black Extended Merino leather keeps the interior understated, while the carbon fibre trim with black chrome detailing gives the cabin the purposeful finish you would want from a car of this type.

The specification includes the Head-Up Display, Harman Kardon sound system, reversing camera, Speed Limit Display, enhanced Bluetooth telephone preparation with wireless charging, WiFi hotspot preparation and sun protection glazing. The sliding front armrest is another useful detail, while the carbon fibre interior trim works particularly well with the darker cabin.

It has had just four owners from new, with the most recent keeper owning it since January 2023. It also comes with a particularly pleasing BMW main dealer service portfolio, including the running-in service and a major service with spark plugs in both December 2020 and March 2026. We have since carried out an inspection and attended to the pollen filter, wipers and brake fluid.

One of the reasons we chose this particular M4 was the recent brake work. It has brand-new discs and pads all round, so the next owner benefits from a substantial piece of maintenance already taken care of. The brakes look like new, and it sits on Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tyres at all four corners, exactly the sort of tyre we want to see on an M4.

The car had also been kept as part of a small collection alongside a Nissan GT-R, which is fitting company for something with this character. Combined with the maintenance record and the way it drives, it gives us confidence in the overall package.

For us, this M4 is about finding the right example rather than simply finding an M4. The mileage is attractive, the BMW main dealer history is strong, the brakes have been renewed all round and the Michelin tyres are right for the car. Most importantly, it feels exceptionally tight on the road. That is what makes this one worth looking at.
