Priddy’s Motor Company are delighted to present this Porsche Cayman 981 S, showing just 32,998 miles and finished in Carmine Red.
This is a particularly special Cayman because the previous owner had wanted one since he was young. He has owned this example since 2022 and has been absolutely over the moon with it. He is genuinely gutted to let it go, but has had to make the sensible decision to move into something more practical for now. He has assured us that, when the time allows, he will be back for another Porsche.
It is easy to understand why he became so attached to it. The 3.4-litre flat-six in the Cayman S is a huge part of the experience. That larger engine sits immediately behind you and gives the car a completely different character to the smaller-engined versions. Coupled with PDK and the sports steering wheel with shift paddles, it drives phenomenally well.
Carmine Red also suits the 981 exceptionally well. It is a deep, sophisticated red rather than an overly bright shade, and looks fantastic against the black-painted 20-inch Carrera S wheels.
The specification is excellent, including 20-inch Carrera S wheels, PDK, PDK Sports steering wheel with shift paddles, heated seats, Porsche Tyre Pressure Monitoring, preparation for mobile phone, Universal Audio Interface and a top-tinted windscreen. The factory-painted black wheels give it a particularly purposeful appearance.
The service history is exactly what you would hope to see on a Cayman of this mileage. It has been maintained by Porsche main dealers throughout its earlier life, with intermediate and major services recorded at 2,587, 5,070, 14,605 and 21,028 miles. We have since looked after it ourselves and will supply the car with a fresh service including oil, inspection, air and pollen filters, brake fluid and wipers.
Inside, it presents beautifully. The cabin has clearly been very well looked after, with the seats and interior remaining in lovely condition. The exterior is equally impressive for its age and mileage.
It sits on matching Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 tyres all round, with very strong tread remaining.
For us, this is exactly the sort of 981 S we like to have in stock. Just 32,998 miles, Carmine Red, excellent specification, a superb Porsche service history and, most importantly, an owner who genuinely cherished the car. It is a very special example of a car that remains one of our favourite Porsche experiences to supply.
