Priddys Motor Company are delighted to present this BMW M3 Competition, showing just 35,466 miles and finished in Oxide Grey Metallic.
Visually, this is one of the most striking G80 M3s we have had. Oxide Grey is a huge part of that; in flatter light it appears as a cooler silver-grey, but once the sun catches the metallic it brings through warmer bronze, gold and amber tones that completely change the colour. Combined with the huge rear arches, staggered 19/20-inch wheels and Maxton Design exterior additions, this particular car has considerably more presence than a standard G80.
The other thing that immediately caught our attention was the carbon bucket seats. These were fitted by the previous owner, professionally coded into the car and retain their heating and electrical functions. They transform the interior as much as the Maxton kit changes the exterior and are a particularly valuable addition in their own right.
Importantly, the engine remains completely standard.
The previous owner had kept the car for just over two years and was genuinely reluctant to sell, with a change in circumstances ultimately forcing the decision. It has had four owners from new and, looking around the car and driving it, there is nothing to suggest it has had a particularly hard life. Condition is very nice overall and this particular example feels tight and properly composed on the road.
The service history includes the all-important BMW running-in service at 1,164 miles and four recorded oil services overall. It was predominantly maintained through BMW before later specialist maintenance, and we have now completed a further oil service with air filter, pollen filter, brake fluid and wipers at 35,466 miles.
Specification is strong too, with Parking Assistant Plus and 360-degree cameras, Drive Recorder, Head-Up Display, Harman Kardon audio, heated steering wheel, wireless Apple CarPlay, memory functions, Visibility Pack and Technology Plus Pack. Its driver-assistance systems also combine adaptive cruise control with steering assistance to reduce the workload on longer journeys.
It sits on Pirelli P Zero tyres all round and the brake condition is good.
For us, this car is really about the combination. Oxide Grey, carbon bucket seats, the Maxton additions and the stance make it genuinely different from the majority of G80s, while underneath it remains mechanically standard and drives exactly as we would want one to.
