Priddys Motor Company are delighted to welcome back this Jaguar XK 5.0 V8 Portfolio Convertible, showing 42,855 miles and finished in Azurite Blue.
We previously supplied this exact car a couple of years ago, so it is especially nice to have it back with us. The previous owner has clearly continued to look after it properly and is only moving it on because, with age, he now wants something a little more practical and easier to get in and out of.
The colour combination is probably the first thing you notice. Azurite Blue can look almost black in flatter light, but there is a lovely blue hue underneath it that comes through beautifully in the sun. Paired with the light cream interior, wood trim and matching cream suede headlining, it gives the car a genuinely timeless feel.
The history is equally strong. It spent the majority of its earlier life with Jaguar main dealers, followed by recognised specialists, and has been serviced consistently throughout. We serviced it ourselves in 2024 with oil, spark plugs, pollen and air filters, and have now serviced it again at 42,855 miles with oil, inspection, brake fluid, pollen filter, air filter and wipers.
Specification is exactly what suits an XK like this: heated and cooled seats, heated steering wheel, memory seating with full electric adjustment, cream leather, wood trim and that beautifully finished suede headlining.
On the road it still feels exactly how we remember it. Tight, smooth and very much a long-distance cruiser rather than something trying too hard to be sporty. The 5.0-litre V8 gives it effortless performance, but the way it settles down and covers ground is probably what suits this particular car best.
Condition is lovely for its age and mileage, with the sort of minor signs of use you would naturally expect rather than anything that detracts from the car. It is fitted with matching Falken Azenis tyres all round, replaced in 2025 and still showing good tread, while the brakes remain in excellent condition.
It has had five owners from new, with the most recent keeper owning it since 2024.
For us, the appeal is as much about knowing the car as anything else. We supplied it before, we know how it has been maintained since, and it is genuinely nice to see it return in such good order.
