This 530d has come to us for the best possible reason: the previous owner loved it so much that he has simply bought a newer one. That immediately says a lot about the car, because these are the sort of vehicles people often replace like-for-like when they have had a good experience. It has had three owners from new, the last since 2023, and arrives with a strong service record made up primarily of BMW main dealer history, followed by respected BMW specialist maintenance more recently.

A 530d Touring can go one of two ways. Some are used hard as daily workhorses and quickly start to feel tired, but this one gives the opposite impression. You get in and it feels fresh, clean and properly looked after. There is no tired smell, no greasy steering wheel, no neglected switches and no sign it has spent its life being treated like a utility vehicle. The boot is exceptionally clean, with no signs of dog use, and rubber mats have been fitted over the original mats to preserve them.

Mechanically, the 3.0-litre diesel is exactly why the 530d has such a strong reputation. It is smooth, torquey and surprisingly quick, with the kind of effortless performance that makes every journey feel easy. It has power when you need it, refinement when you want it and strong economy for a car of this size. Paired with xDrive, it feels secure and composed in all conditions, while still driving like a proper BMW rather than just a large estate car.

The specification is sensible and well suited to the car. Heated seats, electric tailgate, reversing camera, cruise control, keyless start, gloss black interior trim, black headliner and black leather with white piping all give it a smart, understated cabin. The separate opening rear tailgate glass is also a brilliant Touring feature; once you have had it, it is the sort of thing you genuinely miss.

The service history supports the car well. It began with BMW main dealer servicing and includes oil services, brake fluid, major servicing with all filters and recorded brake work. The most recent service was carried out in February 2026 by BMW specialist DW Motorworks and was a major service including all filters. We have since carried out our own specialist inspection.

It sits on matching Goodyear tyres all round with good tread, and annual road tax is only £200, which is a very welcome figure for a 3.0 diesel xDrive Touring. The vehicle has been photographed in arrival condition, with the alloys due to be refurbished before sale; otherwise it has arrived needing only light preparation.
