THIS IS IMPRESSIVE! CHECK SPEC
Priddy’s Motor Company are delighted to present this BMW X5 M50i, showing 41,172 miles and finished in Arctic Grey with BMW Individual Ivory White and Black extended Merino leather.
There is a lot to like about an X5 M50i, but this particular example is all about the specification. It has been optioned well beyond what you would normally expect, with a combination of BMW Individual finishes, rear-seat entertainment, Sky Lounge panoramic roof, adaptive two-axle air suspension and Integral Active Steering. It is the sort of car that makes you appreciate just how much BMW could do with the X5 when it was specified properly.
The 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 produces 530 hp, giving this a remarkable turn of pace for such a substantial SUV. Yet what struck us most when driving it was how effectively BMW has disguised its size. You know there is a huge amount of space around you, but from behind the wheel it feels far more manageable than you might expect. Integral Active Steering helps it feel more agile, while the adaptive air suspension allows it to settle into a comfortable, composed drive. It can cover distance effortlessly, carry a family in comfort and then deliver the sort of performance that makes you question whether you really need anything faster.
Arctic Grey suits the shape exceptionally well. It gives the X5 a modern, understated appearance without losing the presence these cars should have. Open the door, though, and the contrast with the Ivory White and Black BMW Individual leather makes the cabin feel considerably more special. The leather extends to the instrument panel, the interior trim is BMW Individual Piano Black, and the headlining is finished in Anthracite Alcantara. Even the smaller details have been considered, including the Crafted Clarity glass application around the interior controls.
The equipment list is extensive. The Sky Lounge panoramic glass sunroof brings a distinctive finish to the roof, while acoustic glazing helps make the cabin a more refined place to spend time. Rear-seat entertainment and TV Function Plus add another level of comfort for passengers, and the Comfort Plus Package, front Heat Comfort Package, sun protection glazing and Luggage Compartment Package make this a particularly versatile family car.
It also benefits from the Visibility Pack, Technology Package and Driving Assistant Professional, bringing together an impressive range of lighting, technology and driver assistance equipment. The adaptive two-axle air suspension and Integral Active Steering are particularly worthwhile options because they contribute directly to the way the car feels on the road, rather than simply adding to the specification sheet.
The previous owner had it for three years and was genuinely sad to see it go, describing it as one hell of a car. That is an understandable reaction when you consider the performance, comfort and sheer breadth of ability on offer here.
The service history is reassuring, with maintenance carried out predominantly by BMW main dealers, including Bavarian, alongside specialist servicing. We have now serviced it ourselves at 41,172 miles, including oil, pollen and air filters and wipers.
Condition is lovely for the mileage and reflects the impression we had when inspecting it. It feels like a car that has had an easy life, rather than one that has been worked particularly hard. The combination of its presentation, maintenance and specification is exactly why we chose this example.
The appeal here is that there is very little the X5 M50i cannot do. It has the performance of a seriously quick car, the space and practicality of a large family SUV, and the comfort and equipment to make long journeys feel effortless. Add the Arctic Grey paint, Individual leather, Sky Lounge roof, rear entertainment and adaptive chassis, and this becomes a particularly desirable example of an already impressive model.
