This Discovery has come to us from a two-owner background, with the last owner having had it since 2021, and the reason for sale is refreshingly straightforward: they simply no longer needed something of this size or with seven seats, so they have downsized. The colour is the real headline. Charente Brown Grey is absolutely gorgeous in person and gives the Discovery a much more expensive, distinctive look than the usual greys and blacks. It suits the shape brilliantly, especially with the wider front arches and the way these cars sit on the road. The Discovery has always had a strong, capable look to it, but in this colour it looks genuinely special without needing to shout.

It is also a proper seven-seat SUV, not something pretending to be practical. There is loads of room, a huge amount of usability and that comfortable, elevated driving position that makes these so relaxing to cover distance in. The engine suits it well too, giving the car the strength and refinement you want from a large family SUV without making it feel lazy or underpowered.

The specification is very strong, with heated steering wheel, adaptive cruise control, heated and cooled front seats, heated second row, Meridian surround sound, lane assist, blind spot assist, 360° camera with 3D view, multi-terrain modes, air suspension and the tilt and slide glass roof with the additional rear glass section. The black perforated leather with white stitching works beautifully against the exterior colour and gives the cabin a smart, modern contrast.

It sits on matching Pirelli Scorpion Zero tyres all round, rear pads will be fitted as part of preparation, and the brakes are otherwise healthy.
