I’ll be honest — when I first got into this Velar, I assumed it would be the usual 2.0 diesel we see so often. The specification immediately suggested otherwise, but it wasn’t until I pulled out of the junction at the top of our road and felt the instant surge of torque — accompanied by that unmistakable supercharger note — that it clicked. This is not your average Velar.

The 3.0 supercharged Si6 transforms the car completely. The response is immediate, the delivery is smooth yet urgent, and the soundtrack under load is genuinely addictive. It drives far more like a performance SUV than a luxury cruiser, yet still retains the refinement and composure you expect from a Range Rover product. It genuinely surprised us — in the best possible way.

Ownership is equally reassuring. Just two previous owners from new. The first kept it for five years and maintained it exclusively through the main dealer network. The second owner acquired it in 2022 and continued servicing with a highly respected Land Rover specialist.
